I'm a bit disgruntled. Friday evening I have to go see The Outlaws in concert with my father in law. He's a huge fan and my wife got 4 tickets as a gift to him.
Sooo... Instead of being in a stand Friday for the first good weather day in a week I'll be listening to Green Grass and High Tides.
Saturday morning is the big day I guess.

I will be at it tomorrow evening and then Sunday morning and possibly evening in a spot that is packed with does. Next week as soon as the wind switches back to S/SW I will be heading to my rut stand that is getting a lot of action right now.

I went out today as soon as the sun started poking thru the clouds. I sat from 2p - 7p & didn't see a damn thing until I was leaving in the truck when a doe ran across the road. I'll be out before dawn in the am with better results for the day I bet.

only deer I saw last night was the buck I spooked walking in and a spike about 300 yards away. Didn't even see or hear anything on the way out. Think I might try some public this afternoon. Cant be any worse.

Gotta tell ya, so far this year, the hunting has absolutely sucked.

Buddy of mine just texted me that he had a 135" 9 pointer go under his stand this morning. Hus friend on the opposite side of the property saw a 12 and 8 dogging two does but couldn't get the 12 to stop for a shot.

Work suck, by the way.
