Once in a lifetime Cicada event

They are attracted to my truck when the vac and water are running. I'm over them crawling all over me.
Has any of them bit you yet? I was literally bombarded for 1.5 hours today while mowing and noticed if they lit on my bare skin and sat there for a minute or so they were either biting, pinching or stinging. Nothing terrible just annoying like a deer/horse fly bite.

My fruit trees are covered with them. Hope they don’t kill them.

I think it's the claws. I gotta tuck my shirt on or the bastards crawl up it. Then it's a MFer to get them out without shut down my truck.

Truck show this weekend and everyone was scrubbing these bastards off. They splatter when hit. Guy this weekend had one hit his hand while driving 65 and it swelled up pretty good. I couldn't imagine trying to ride a motorcycle in certain areas.

You guys have cicadas but up north it’s mayflies season! Was out to the lake last night and I’m like let’s get the hell out of here before it gets dark lol. They use cat front end loaders to clean them off the streets.
