Ozark Trail Tumbler (Yeti knock-off)

I want a Yeti beer cozy. My belly isn't enough to hold my beer.

I'd have no problem buying you one for Xmas but coughing up $30 for a beer cozy is too much to buy it for little old me.

Speaking of Yeti's, are their coolers really worth the small loan you have to take out to buy one or is it just really good marketing?

They do work as advertised... But that ozarks tumbler does almost as good and a third of the cost....

If you needed a cooler for life or death, Yeti.

My "extreme" Coleman holds ice for 3+ days in high temps. More than I need. If I were to be using it for long, extended trips or fishing excursions then it MAY be worth the money.

That's good sound advice! Where'd you buy your cooler at Charles?

Buy the Cabela's brand cooler. It's a $ 100.00 cheaper than the Yeti without the Yeti name. Same cooler. It holds ice for 5-7 days.

Another cooler to look at is RTIC. Half the price and works just as well as the YETI. The same size RTIC is actually a touch bigger than the comparable YETI. Only downside to RTIC is they are online only and there is usually about a two week backorder on their coolers. Their Koozi's and Tumblers though usually ship same day are Hal the price of the YETI and just as good. They have the drinkware, hard coolers, and soft coolers all on their web site.

I just bought 2 of the Bison brand coolers similar to Yeti. The jury is still out for me. I was tired of spending $12-15/wk on ice for the guys so figured I would buy one and it would pay for itself. If you can keep a couple frozen milk jugs in there prior to needing to use it, it really helps. If you leave it sitting in the sun all weekend and then throw a bag of ice in there- it eats up a lot of ice just to get the cooler down to temperature. I am testing it with gallons of frozen jugs to see how it does in keeping ice throughout the week. If it takes 3 bags of ice during the week to keep things cold. . . . Might as well keep using the $29-39 Igloo or Colemans.
