Pebbles the Walking Bear....

Is Pebbles really dead???? I've heard numerous stories and it would not surprise me that this story was totally fabricated by a group known as savenjbears.... Group is a total bunch of wacko's. Every year several get thrown in jail for their actions. I heard that the state, said that the hunter that said he shot Pebbles still has an unfilled bear tag. Every bear when harvested must be taken to a check station where a permanant tag will be put on the bear. Can they tell if a certain bear brought in was Pebbles???? NO... Not unless the bear was processed sometime earlier in it's life and either got tagged or tattoed in the lip. So let's see what comes out in the wash as time goes on.
Now if a said hunter targeted Pebbles and did shoot him..... HE'S A TOTAL ASS... With so many bears roaming around why shoot a popular bear knowing its going to bring down the roof. This hunt was the first archery hunt that I remember and you know it was going to be looked at through a magnifying glass. The least little thing was going to be blown out of proportion. This is like Cecil the lion. They are already working on legislation to ban bear hunting in Jersey...

Careful there man... I think maybe you should consider who really has the problem here - the hunter or the anti's.
One day it could be you on the receiving end of public outrage. Do you want the hunting community to have your back, or would you prefer that we call you a total ass for killing something in a legal hunt? Today it's bear, but what if tomorrow it's deer?
Also, at what point does public illogical attachment to an animal make it a protected species under your worldview? Does 1 person have to have adopted the animal? 10? 100? 1000? Where do you draw the line where the hunter gets the "total ass" title?

There are plenty of videos of everyday deer, squirrel, rabbit (etc.) hunts on youtube that have "I hope someone shoots you" or "you deserve to die" or "you're a murderer" comments. It may only be a few people now, but what if down the road it's thousands? Seems to me like we're on our way there, and hunters turning on other hunters by agreeing with the anti's because they are throwing a temper tantrum isn't helping one bit.
