Has anybody been there? I am looking at a couple places to go on a trip with a few friends and found this place. I'm not looking for any honeyholes or specific sites only some basic info on the terrain and vegetation. I've noticed it's a riding park and that's about the only info I can really find other than they allow hunting. Also kinda looking at Zaleski and Vinton Furnace.
Thanks for any info u guys are willing to share.

One of the places I grew up dirt biking. Reclaimed strip mine area. Lots of bowls. Some creek crossings. Seems like many of the trails were straight down out of the parking lot. Been a long time since I was there. I'm sure there are some deer there. Not sure how easy it would be to get to them.

Thanks for the replies guys. With the place being logged and strip mined I think we will try to find a different location.

If you do end up hunting there, please write a follow up and tell us what you think, I'm interest to here how the hunting is, I am always looking for public land road trip hunts.

After giving this some thought,I don't see any reason to steer you away from Perry. The logging only made more habitat and the strip mining hasn't been permitted yet,so go for it.You will see deer and turkeys. And for the record it's a state forest not a state park
