This guy popped out the weeds along the lane at work and ran straight toward my truck. So, I grabbed my phone and snapped a few quick photos before he disappeared back into the weeds.

Used to see several of them out at my parents house probably 20 years ago before the coyote numbers started taking off.

Predators + lack of habitat + drastically different farming practices = dramatically declining bird numbers.
