Thanks for the smile Dick. A few chin ups wouldn't hurt me at all. Lol

Thinking of heading out in the morning. So much work to get done. . . .may or may not head out.

715 to 915. 2hr hunt if you don't include the hour on stand before light. Had something methodically work a tree before light. Spent 10-15min checking an area 50x50yds. I'd say my stand is in the right place. Just need to get the timing right. I don't think it was a 1 or 2 year old buck doing this. They get worked up, thrash on a tree and move along. This buck worked 2 trees total and I saw a "sorta" scrape on my way out. Not a full blown scrape but some dirt turned and leaves moved. Ended up seeing a doe with yearling (no spots), and two bucks. Probably both 1.5yr old bucks. One already busted half his rack off. Doh!

Also saw a killer rub.

Hours on stand: 2
Deer seen: 4

Dang Phil, I think you are having a better season than when you work hard at it. Just going, and having a good time, just makes it easier! Won't be long I suspect, and you'll be elbow-deep in a pile of guts, again!

You mean like this one? Buddy shot it tonight. Did so early enough Garrett was able to help us out. We drug the deer and he used my coyote light to put on a laser light show while chanting "Drag! Drag! Drag!" I asked him if we were a team of sled dogs. My buddy said "If I was Garrett's sled dog I would turn around and bite him." Then Garrett started chanting again. Probably because he wasn't listening. lmao

Always fun when they drop 8-10' down an embankment into the creek.

Sadly, he was the biggest buck we had on camera. Don't get me wrong. . . He was a real nice deer. I think a beast of a 2yr old. Possibly 3, but no older.

Congrats to your buddy Phil. Looks like Garret is bit by the deer bug.

THanks all. I will send a link to my buddy. I think Garrett is getting hooked a bit at a time. I asked if he wanted to go. He perked up. Looked at my wife. She said "Have him back in an hour." Ok. Bye. mischeif.gifmischeif.gif

I was surprised. Found deer. Relocated truck positioning on property. Field dressed deer. Drug deer. Laughed. Talked about deer. Gasped for air. Drug deer some more. Gasped some more. Drug some more. Loaded deer. Sucked air. AND still managed to get Garrett home within about an hour and 20min to hour and 40min. Pretty quick for us.
