I don’t like shooting does, I don’t understand the thinking of less does equals better rut action, this could be true, but I know one thing for sure. A dead doe means less deer next year.
I'm of the thinking: more deer equals more chances at big bucks. More small/med/lg bucks along with more does. I'll shoot a doe but not this year.

Clay.... I couldn't agree more... I've never shot a doe... I have nothing against shooting a doe if you wish... Just my choice not to shoot one...

Here in Jersey I could shoot a doe just about every day...deer are everywhere. I’ve only shot one doe in Ohio (about 5 years ago) and felt bad because although I generally see deer frequently in Ohio, the numbers are low compared to my home state. Not knocking anyone who shoots a doe, if I was a permanent resident in Ohio, I’d probably take one every year, but I figure why take one out of the herd there when I can shoot one in my own back yard.
