I gave up on photobucket years ago. Tapatalk refuses to work for me.

Joe, what is the best way to post videos to the forum...youtube?
Yep. Best I've been able to find. Upload to youtoube and post the URL.

I was going to post a thread about this but i see you are on top of it as usual. There are a lot of good how to threads, great memories and referance material that will be lost because of this change. Is there away for a user repopulate an old thread with pictures. There are a number of my threads that i would like to matain. I know we had discussed editing powers for an ulimited period of time as being a vulnerability. Perhaps we can allow the originial post or author of thread those editing power. If it becomes an issue we can always turn those permissions off.

That is absolutely welcome. If you can point out which threads you would like to edit just shoot me a PM and i'll make it happen.

On a side note there's a growing campaign by admins to fight back against these practices. For instance i know a lot of admins are considering redirecting all of theit photobucket links to a self hosted image warning people to never use photobucket or pay them a dime.

I don't see why they didn't grandfather what was already there. Not even sure how they can just cut off millions of other people's pictures.

As I see it the service was free for 14 yrs and now with millions of posters they seen they could charge a fee or loose it.

Ruined the "nothing about nothing" thread[emoji35]

I like to go back and look at some of the older ones every now and then...gone forever now. One of those posters is no longer with us, and that pissed me off. He doesn't have a choice in this and contributed a ton of very good info across the interweb.

It's basic ransomware if you ask me. Here, use our service because it's free and enjoy.

14 years later. We're killing everything you ever did unless you pay us a ransom.

And here is the big kicker. The fuckers want 39.99 a month or $399 a year for you to link to your images.

I highly recommend everyone download their pics from Photobucket and find another image host. Once companies start down this path it only gets worse.

Even at that, what happen when we are gone? Our kids won't be able to look back and share memories without paying. All over some money...fuck photobucket.

Nope. It's a huge kick in the dick to Forum owners like us. They literally destroyed a very large section of our content in one swoop.

I have a good 750 pics supporting content I've generated for forums since 2004. I worked hard on a lot of that content and now it's useless.

Fuck you Photobucket. Greedy basted.

Been researching on line but still haven't found a site I can live with.
What's the best and easy site to use for pictures?

my wife uses shutterfly so I just use it as a default ....download the app and drop pictures in there to save memory and you can do prints with them on all kinds of different items.

Just checked shutterfly site and it looks like a app for a smartphone. I want a photo site for my computer.
Any ideas?
