Poacher busted

Any of you guys know a local poacher that got busted? Feel free to share it here.

This guy has been convicted twice for poaching BIG deer. One when he was a minor and now as an adult. Seems Trevor Justice is now using his tracking dog , Turbo, to pay his fees. So be aware of who you are supporting when dealing with people. Personally, I wouldn't want this guy to know where a big deer was killed, shot or living. His track record shows that he will stop at nothing for the fame of a big buck.

Here is the public record of his latest charge.

This guy also knew he was going to be convicted and already killed his buck this year before his court date.

When you think you know someone and they go to the extent to do things illegally to make them self look good shooting big deer. Just a piece of scum in my book now. Can’t believe I didn’t know his prior history never would have referred him and his dog to anyone. Or called him a buddy. That’s not how I roll. DO IT FAIR OR DONT DO IT AT ALL

Wait a sec. Isn't this the same guy that shot what should have been the state record whitetail a few years back but it turns out he shot it with a rifle and he poked a couple arrows through it. I remember the kid that shot it was 17 at the time. If I remember correctly the taxidermist turned him in but it was quickly swept out of the news because his dad was the county game warden. I think it was down around deer creek. I tried to find something on it but it looks like everything about that buck has been removed.

It is my understanding he poached a state record buck but had his prior record expunged due to being a youth. Legally it can no longer be used against him, if so then he would have gotten much worse then a one year license revocation. I cant prove that but have been told that by multiple reliable sources.

Unfortunately this work of art has doped a big local landowner in my back yard, still has him doped even after pleading guilty and being convicted. Anyone that says anything is a "jealous hunter" to Trevor. The deer he poached I had been watching closely the past 3 years. All Trevor had permission to legally hunt was pretty much an open agricultural field. He used that permission to sneak onto the back side of the property where this deer was living and also the same property where I am very close friends with the owners and have had sole hunting permission for over 10 years. He shot the deer on their property and it was filmed by another big name local hunter named Dave Stuckey. Rather Stuckey knew he didn't have permission or not, I can't say. He took advantage of the elderly landowners where he shot the deer, and had such a need for attention that he had the nerve to film it all and plaster it all over social media. If he had not had video evidence I would have never caught him. I am not a jealous hunter as he would say, I am someone who is not perfect but honestly tried to do the right thing and has zero tolerance for poaching, especially for people like him who do it for bragging rights. This entire situation has left a pit in my stomach, but id do it all over again. Glad he got the conviction, even if its not harsh as it should be. He will be back at it in no time I am sure of that.

Also he won the the Quest Hunt competition in Ohio last year. No wonder he was selling raffle tickets to his brand new Polaris Ranger as soon as he won it. If you were in this competition or know anyone that was i would highly suggest calling the owners and letting them know that you don't appreciate being frauded. Currently with my last discussion with them they have no interest in trying to get his winnings back.

So I see you mentioned Dave Stuckey. He worked with Ben rising on whitetail edge and I noticed he has changed his name on Instagram from having whitetail edge in it to just Dave Stuckey hunting. Not saying he knew they were doing wrong but it just seems weird that he's not associated with Ben anymore.

I just went looking myself, can't even find a picture of the deer. Crazy. What kind of contacts do you need to make stuff go away from the internet?

I'm 95% certain he knew. But I'm not going to accuse him unless I am positive. I try to give people benefit of the doubt but am quickly learning not to do that with these attention deprived "hunters".
