Pole barn must haves...

How about the inside fellas? Looking like mine will be a party barn this year. 2 graduation parties, a wedding and another event (which i guess i need to schedule, lol).

Currently unsure if I want to finish walls and do shelving or do a man cave first. Or just do both. We also have a big vacation set for this summer so I would prefer to only do one right now and the selfish part of me wants the place to hang out this winter.

I'm sheeting the walls in white metal, and plumbing in a bathroom. It is it's own man cave at that point. My wife's BFF and her husband just did a 3 stall garage with a bathroom, some countertops with lots of outlets, big ceiling fan and a TV. He added two stalls for equipment and trailers off the end this fall. They even added a little porch so you could cook on it while it was raining. It's a great hangout spot.

Probably the cheapest option for inner walls would be 29 gauge white metal liner panel. It’s 36” wide and length is up to you. It should run about $2.00-$2.20 per linear foot from your local Amish roll former.

Insulation is VERY important. If not done, you will be fighting condensation forever. Are you putting up sheet rock, T111, plywood or pressboard? You’ll need to figure out where you plan to put a sink, maybe a shower for your get togethers…so you’ll need to run water lines. A closet for a water heater, heating unit and electric panel. AC going to be wall units or combined with your heating system? Workbench area is going to need outlets. Also outlets for bar related items and trickle chargers/battery tenders for your toys. If putting a ice machine and fridge, I’d run multiple home runs so you don’t have a large demand on a single breaker. Ceiling fans/lights. Also I’d definitely recommend LED lights above the work area and dimmer switches for the lights in the bar area.
