What are you guys paying?
Anyone in the business? What’s a typical markup from the spot price?

Called for pricing the other day and it was $2.99 for a call in vs the show up once a month and top off. This was in NC.

You'll always get market price if you are just buying at the moment. The best way is to either get in on their yearly prebuy, or get on a budget and you'll just have a monthly bill and top off.

I’m seeing spot price at $1.82 and being charged $2.09 up from $1.99 last week when the spot is only up 0.02. Just wondering if that sounds fair.

Our last fill up in May was $1.499/G.

We lock in 900 for the year and do the monthly budget pay which is $159/month for 10months.

Last time we filled we got around 1.29 for first fill and then locked in a pre-buy at 1.39 I believe. Haven't called anyone lately, though... We're sitting on 300 gallons or so.

Best thing you can ever do is buy your own tank. Don't lease or rent the damn things. When you own your own tank you're free to shop around whoever, whenever you want. We've got a 1000-gal tank so when we find a deal, we capitalize on it.

I own a 1000 gallon tank and have gotten it for 90 cents a gallon the last 2 summers.
