What a gorgeous morning to be in the woods! I had two main trails that needed opened up after a big red oak choked off this road, and a much bigger pignut hickory came down on our main road in the creek bottom. Even got some TSI cuts done on the north ridge. Bright sunshine and the crisp, fresh air is just what the doctor ordered! Add some old school bluegrass to the ear buds and new chain on the saw, and life is good.

There’s a special kind of satisfaction that comes from running a fresh new chain on a saw. Let er eat!

My dog would not be happy if I ran out🤣
LOL, neither would mine. After a pretty big day yesterday, I had to rest today, back at it tomorrow. Before the monsoon begins, I need to get as much cut and out of the woods to a nice place in the shade where I can pull the truck, trailer and splitter right up to it whenever it dries out. Usually like June, lol.

Didn't know where to put this. TOO Good is certainly appropriate. Daughter and son in law have been in town since Thursday evening for a baby shower. They leave in the morning which is sucky, but . . . They are leaving with a RAV4 packed with blessings from friends and family. Gifts are nice. The showing of love and support is everything. Our daughter's mother in law flew in from Baton Rouge to Cleveland and drove over with her family today. 3 of our daughters college roommates drove 3.5-5hrs each to be there. Cousins from out of town. Just an awesome day. They are due at the end of May. Going to be tough not seeing them until the baby is born.

Not sure how to describe it to our younger members here. Babies are definitely a blessing. Watching them grow up into amazing adults, getting married, and starting their own family is tough to put into words. It could make the Saraha desert shed a tear.
