I live close to tappan lake state park I know some public land closes around May 1 each year for dog hunting and training... So my ? Is would it still be legal to turkey hunt after this date or until the end of season?

Most of the dog training areas on the public land I've seen don't encompass the entire wildlife area.... May want to stop and talk to the office for the area to make sure....

I thought Tappen belongs to the MWCD and is not a state park so most is open for hunting in season.
State Parks have individual hunting rules and legal areas. State Forests mostly allow hunting in season.
