Yep. Couple days ago my wife asked what we were going to see for snow. Told her similar to you. Saturated ground. Extreme winds. Better sharpen chainsaw chains.

Moved our son and his family to Omaha. Plan was too leave Monday. Blizzard pushed us back to Wed. Made it to Iowa city Wed. To Omaha yesterday. Those poor truckers didn't stand a chance Monday and Tuesday. Must've seen 30-40 semi's in ditch or flipped. Now another winter storm with blizzard like conditions, and another on the way. Hoping to leave Monday for Ohio. Wish us luck

Rain moved in around 4:00 so far the winds aren’t near what’s been forecasted….. Knock on wood…..

As a river county, shit's got deep down here this week. Literally. We crested at 27', which is 8' from flood, but it starts to get interesting at 30'. Had 2 dozen roads closed as of Wednesday's crest. Like others, it's absolutely saturated and any winds will make for a real mess.

Let's not forget the gusts 45-60mph. Those shouldn't do any damage. Or are the wind advisories just for the NW corner of the state?

Just woke up and it's downright gross outside. Snowing sideways. Ruins my plans for the day, so I should probably make some jerky!

-3° this morning in Omaha. Feels like -27°. Kid next door is out snow blowing already . He was out all day yesterday in this shit. Must grow em tough up here. He helped us out yesterday getting my kids van out. Gave him $20. Has a pair of old Timberlands on, no insulation, not tied. Think I'll take him to Scheels and buy him a new pair boots today.

Sun is shining this morning so I assume this map will change quickly. Now it is going to get brutally cold over the next few days. I just poured a cup of coffee and sent the wife out to clean the heavy snow off the arborvitaes. Life is good!
