Yup, no significant precipitation in 7 - 8 weeks, here at my place. Another scorcher today….
Yesterday was pop up perfect conditions....and boy did it!
2.8" in just over 1 hr had everything flooded yesterday. 90% is absorbed this AM, but still standing water in the low areas.

The oppressive heat and humidity subsided here after a decent rain yesterday. June was drier than a popcorn fart fron start to finish minus a couple pop-ups. I'm headed down into the holler shortly to see if it recharged the creeks at all. They were as dry as I've ever seen them last weekend.

Anyone else laughing listening to these NC boys? They brag all winter about how awesome their weather is
Yep. Keep your kudzu (or however it is spelled.) Keep your heat. Keep your bears and hogs. Keep your humidity. I'll keep some cold and snow. Although I'd love to avoid ice storms.Anyone else laughing listening to these NC boys? They brag all winter about how awesome their weather is

We got about the same but less than 10 miles away at one of the mohican area campground they got over 5" in the same amount of time....a few campers had more waterfront then they anticipated
You guys motivated me to go look. Combination of storms over the last 2 days. Another about to dump some. We need it!

It has been hawt already here. I'm over it and have a long way to go still.

92 degrees here in the pouring rain as we speak. Humidity at 84%. Just getting started down here! Bring on August! We’ve had 6.2 inches of rain here at the house so far this week making it nicer but sticky in the evenings. BUT the pterodactyls are out in full swing lol
Finally some decent rainfall amounts, almost 3 inches so far today with some more coming.
We’re @2” currently. Much needed…
