Asheville is only accessible by air. Roads are washed out. Couple damns are expected to fail. If you e planned a trip to the mountains of NC? Stay home….. it’s not going to be months, but years for those poor folks to get back to normal……Everyone okay?

Also both damns are holding at this point. To give you an idea this is the gauge station near Biltmore in Asheville, it crested 6 feet about the record. The 2 gauges up stream are out of service.

Shit is fucked all over the place. I told guys in a group text that I don't think I'll be at strouds. I think I'll be running my ass off still for this storm. It left a life changing mess for millions.

It really is and is why I never take pics of anything. That is someone's dreams getting rudely taken away. A church supplied our dinner tonight. It wasn't much, but it was homemade grub that was very welcoming. More storms building right now. Already talks of not releasing us until after the second storm.
This was a hell of a storm.

I can promise you we are doing our best. People are going to grow angry at us but this is a huge outage. It is going to take time. We are human and need rest. We were on the road by 0500 and just now getting to our rooms for the night. Need to shower and catch a nap before being back after it by 0500 tomorrow. I know you weren't complaining, just starting our side. This is gonna suck for alot of people.
