I've been known to throw tools on the quad or truck and drive around after big storms to help clean up roads, driveways, etc. Lot of older folks on our road, so they often need help. That's the kind of work that's fun, so I don't mind doing the labor, especially when it's the right thing to do.

40 mph gusts tomorrow, 20-25 mph winds on Wednesday.

I live in the Western Tundra of the state and I am literally surrounded by thousands of acres of open fields with some patches of woods, I bet the wind was blowing 50 mph this morning. I had a plastic tote filled with my kids sandbox/yard toys, its gone. I bet it weighed about 50#

Rain rain rain is all we seem to be getting around here. Glad the new sump pump is working. Its definitely getting a workout.

Left Jersey Wed. night headed for Illinois and hit all kinds of weather.. Snowed like hell in some sections and was cold out there when we arrived.. Sat. found me walking around in a tee-shirt.. While out there saw 2 houses that were demolished by those tornadoes last week. One of them the people just moved out the day before... Back in Jersey yesterday to the cold rainy weather...

The house that was hit here was vacant. Besides that, it was all barns and trees. Got lucky!
