Maybe a few inches in the grass. My son probably had 3-4" on his car. 1" at most on parking lots. Much of it melting. A little salt, a little traffic, a little sunlight, and voila, wet pavement.

*Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations
between 6 and 19 inches. The greatest snow totals of 12 inches or
more are expected south of I-90 in Erie County and the northern
portion of Crawford County. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.
* WHERE...Crawford, Northern Erie, and Southern Erie Counties.
* WHEN...From 1 AM Thursday to 1 AM EST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Whiteout conditions with 1/4 SM visibility or lower are
expected at times and will make travel treacherous and potentially
life-threatening. The hazardous conditions will impact
Thanksgiving holiday travel. Gusty winds could bring down tree
branches.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Lake effect snow will begin in far northern
Erie County late Wednesday night before the band gradually moves
inland Thursday morning. The heaviest snow is expected Thursday
and Thursday night when snowfall rates could reach 1 to 2 inches

* WHERE...Jefferson, Lewis, Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and

Boston Hills, and southwest Wyoming County. The greatest
accumulations off Lake Ontario will be found across the Tug Hill
Plateau.
* WHEN...From 1 AM Thursday to 1 AM EST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult with deep snow cover on
roads and poor visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact
Thanksgiving holiday travel. Gusty winds will down tree branches
and cause isolated power outages.

Heavy snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling, be

Wow, was laying block around a pool for short stone retaining walls in a trench under three large oak trees today. Shits flying everywhere, I'm whooped and wind burnt. Glad to relax by a fire. Hopefully the white stuff comes before Monday for us....

Less than 24hrs out. I still don't know what to think. Every meteorologist has flip flopped daily for the last 3-5 days. Sometimes more than once a day. My gut says this southern push is going to bring more rain for us and lower our totals. We are the only county in the NWS area that was NOT in a Winter weather Watch. We were under advisory. Weather Channel says 1-3 tomorrow and 1-3 tomorrow night. Accuweather says 1-3" total and the breakdown shows 1" tomorrow and 1.5" tomorrow night for a 2.5" total. National Weather Service has us in a 2-5" area circled with "there is much uncertainty in this area".
Guess we will know when it is done snowing. Or raining. Or snowing, raining, and then snowing again. Or whatever it wants to do.
Then we better rest up because another round coming Monday night I guess?
All I know is my daughter is in town and it breaks my heart to have to go work while she is here. 24 years old. Her and her husband live 8hrs away. This old man is getting softer every year and not ashamed to say it. I'll have to make it home to see her off in Sunday at a minimum.

We had a couple inches of snow adding up quickly during the buckeye game. It stopped right after dark and was blowing/drafting pretty good. Woke up it looks like most of it melted. Not sure how much more is to come but I can't remember a gun season opener with snow covered ground. This wind sucks, hopefully it slows for safety sake tomorrow.
