28 with a heavy frost here. Not what I expected after getting an alert this morning that today would be "Warmer than Normal". Says we'll hit 57 today.

A month ago they were calling for wild winter weather second half of January. Last week they were talking about a warming trend which was ruling out winter likelihood. Yesterday they're talking about a potential winter storm a week or so out. Pretty tired of the meteorologists about now.

61 degrees here, cold summer nighttime temps in January...... Crazy. Im tired of this roller coaster ride and we have a long ways to go.

It’s dangerous out here. Cleaned up most of a shagbark tree top that came down last night. It’s crazy how weak hickory’s are being they’re a hardwood but knotholes become compromised so readily by carpenter ants and other critters that you add in high gusty winds they lose tops or huge limbs more than most varieties it seems.
