The lakes freeze over and it slows down the pesky dusting to an inch lake effect snows. That is a plus for some.

I'm always so confused when I go to sleep at 10:30 p.m. and wake up at midnight to work. Do you take your morning glucosamine pills and vitamins an hour and a half after you took your night time glucosamine and allergy pills? 
An hour last night. Laying in bed now. Might sleep another hour or so. Nobody home to hand my phone to. That would help. Still have guys out working. I'll man the phone and try to sleep. Good test of endurance.
Insane how much one inch of light fluffy snow plus 40mph wind can drift. Roads are about the worst they've been so far this winter with basically next to no snow on the ground.
I'm not sure I've seen such white out conditions from so little snow before. At one point I was driving 30mph and could not see the plow on my truck. 630-730am roughly. Right about the time we had everything cleared and businesses had employees showing up. It was freaking great. Looked like we never touched their lots. 
Fixing to get cold AF, cold enough we may see the big river freeze. The feeders will all freeze by this time next week, so there will be icebergs in the Ohio at a minimum. Our farm pond will be ready for ice skating by the end of the weekend. Some growing concerns we may get a big ice event later this week, so we'll see how that goes.
Conditions are not great. I weathered out today and likely will again tomorrow. Emergency work only kind of weather for this guy. Water gets hard to work with right now.

Well this could be very interesting. @"J" this could be your first real shit show of heavy snow in the south.
Long ways off. All the models show something different.
Snow doesn’t really bother. Ice? Now that will be the concern. As long as we don’t lose power, I’m good with all of that. Stocked up and might have the wife make a big ole pot of her chili!
All of the models are showing 10"+ inches, if it is coming from the gulf that is when we get hammered.

We have a portable generator, it’ll power up what needs powered and have a propane fireplace that’ll keep the house comfortable.You need to get a generac.
When we first moved here back in 2019 I wanted to do a whole house generator. For all intents and purposes it’d of been a waste of money so far.
The bad part is we do not have enough snow removal equipment, so the snow gets drove on and packed down, then it is there for awhile
