Got diesel, got gas, got TP and plenty of food. Lots of events got rescheduled, so we can hunker down and enjoy the show. Still need to complete my generator repair, but we have a pretty resilient grid here, so if I can't get it rolling tomorrow, it'll be what it'll be. Losing power in the winter is fine with a gas fireplace in our living room and a wall mount downstairs, we'll stay warm. Any food can simply go outside if stays off too long. The death of us will be no I internet 😂

Got home late (had an emergency call at work) but still managed to get all my shit packed. Gave a rundown of what needed done tomorrow after school and how to hook things up. Id say everyone is as ready as they can be. Couple more supplies just to be safer and better prepared is all. They'll figure it out. 0400 wakeup and then the driving starts!

Be safe out there Dave, kudos to you and all of your crew and all the other first responders and emergency personnel heading out to help others in time of need.👍🏻

Safe travels Dave!👍

Be safe Dave. Been busy here as well. Plans. Backup plans. Equipment. Backup equipment. Then start making contingency plans and more back up plans. Plenty of unknowns in an event like this. We are not "currently" in the direct line of heaviest snow. Still sounds like we could see 5-9". 20-50 mile shift could change things either way. It's the blowing snow and days of drifting clean up that will be rough.

Prayers of stamina, endurance, safety, and clear minds to make wise decisions for anyone working this event. Our actions can keep people safe or get people hurt. Be careful out there.

Come on down to the sunny warm south!

Oh wait never mind

Seriously thanks for the hard work you and the crews do in horrible conditions.

Calling for 8” and some ice. Hope the ice stays south of us. Filled up the generator and salamander heater, all gas cans and extra diesel. Smoked a pork butt and some chicken leg quarters. Used some of it to make stew and put the rest in the freezer.

We are as ready as we are going to get. Biggest issue we will face is Tuesday supposed to be -2° in the morning. Going to put the ol’ heat pump to the test. Have a couple ceramic heaters just in case.
