Calling for 6-8” with 30-40 mph gusts this weekend….. Single digit overnight lows with minus windchills…. Should get interesting…..

Our main assembly plant in New Bern closing on Monday, our Kinston DC is expecting the same after the mayor put in a curfew. Winter storm warning thru 4pm Sunday, same 6-10" and 45mph winds. Not a single snow plow down there, yikes!

Our county has plows. They also use graders. Interstates and State routes are prime areas of course, but they’re on the side roads as well. Shaded areas of course are the big concerns. The sun does it job if it’s allowed to reach the surface. Y’all remember the sun, right? 😂

Yea when we get snow at the coast it is a mess. They could get even more down there, but they are being conservative this time.

They do a good job with the limited resources they have, can't have tons of snow removal equipment when we can go years with no measurable snow.

Actually all they would need is the plow part. Put a plow on every available truck they own. The plow blades can sit and collect dust until needed. I don’t think Carolinian’s would have an issue with that.
I’ve seen Fire department trucks with plows that’d do alleys and such.
