It's been a long winter. Got a few hours sleep. Back out. Going to sleep a few and head back out. It's not the amount of snow. We got a nice melt with average salt applications. Many properties melted without any salt. It is the refreeze tonight combined with blowing really fine snow across everything. Just making a mess. Not horrible. Just a nuisance. Going to keep getting slicker too.
@hickslawns Phil, schedule yourself a colonoscopy. Two birds with one stone: 1) you'll get a needed test that will set your mind at ease and 2) I guarantee you'll get one of the best sleep/naps ever when the doc puts you under - you're counting backwards then boom, you're waking up refreshed remembering nothing. Best sleep ever.

View out the door this morning….and still coming down. Heavy, wet snow has tree branches on the ground. Power out since last night. Thank god for the generac!

I was dropping a duece at work in '07 or '08 when there was a minor one here in the valley. I felt it plain as day through the toilet, but wasn't sure if it was an actual earthquake or one of the plants blew up (that happened in 1996 at it shook houses like an earthquake several miles away). Only earthquake I've ever noticed and I was strapped to the earth on a porcelain throne 😂

Cleared the driveway, front yard paths for the dogs, path to the bird feeders, my mailbox, three neighbors mailboxes and one neighbors driveway. (Other neighbor already cleared theirs with a snow blower). Cleared snow from vehicles and around the generac. Found where trees came down on neighbors property and took out the electric lines. He has a very long driveway and doesn’t keep up on preventative maintenance, so his driveway is full of fallen trees the entire length. I think it’s going to be a while before we get the electric restored.

With all due respect, and I mean it. All due respect. This is one of the shittier ideas I've had thrown my way. 🤣

Depends how many are out on your circuit. Pretty easy to isolate one problematic property and make the rest hot.

My neighbor and I feed off of one line that splits into two about half way down his property line. Trees are always falling on his property and it trips the breaker at the main feed pole. Everyone else is fine. Problem is that they will restore all of the developments first and the single/double outages are always last to get fixed.
