Random weather thread

That was unreal. 70mph with no tstorm or twister with it......I wonder if our construction standards will ever change to hurricane type regulations in this region. Id think insurance companies would be crying for heavier construction as frequently as major damage occurs.
Our local market is expanding and they lost their framing job last September when we had a similar kind of day. My wife saw on FB last night that someone building a house in our area, lost their framing job yesterday. Both builds were under truss and collapsed. Can't say I ever remember that happening before.

Years ago when driving to work one morning, passed a new home build. They had put sheeting on the roof but didn’t put any sheeting on the outside walls.
Seemed strange they’d of done that. Later in the day the wind picked up, and apparently lifted the house of cards off of its foundation and placed it throughout the property.
Looked like a huge pickup stix game….

I don't know the wind speed here on the Lake Erie ridge in Penna, but my home rocked and rolled like a camper in this wind all night. Had the winter limb fall all cleaned up and burned on the fire ring before this blow and now I get to do it all over again...

@Mike Hey your recycling blew through here around 8pm last night heading to the Indian reservations in NY.

Is he an asshole or just clueless? Or both?
I'm guessing both and more although I'm not really sure. We have lived across the street from these people since 2000 and we have never spoken. I used to wave in passing and Nancy returned their little Basset hound one time a year or two after we moved in and that is the extent of our interaction with them. Fucking weirdos, but at least they are quiet. Up until they put up that damn security light that shines in my front door EVERY FRIGGIN' NIGHT they have never caused any problems, just strange
