Hope no damage was done overnight. That system is headed our way and we have severe thunderstorm warnings from 3 this afternoon until around 9-10 tonight.

I put fresh, crispy lines in the yard yesterday for the first mowing of the year. The front yard needed leaves and sticks mulched up, but the backyard legitimately needed mowed or it was going to need bailed by this weekend. Probably the wildest 24 hour swing in weather I can recall.

Had everything here the past 24 hours. Been on generator since early this morning. Power just restored. Sumps going off every 7 minutes. 2 of them with battery back up. One worked flawless, the other? 12 volt backup sump wouldn't shut off. New generator and my 220 line plug was different on it. Ended up running 110 extension cords. I prefer to cut the main and back feed 220. Finally gathered all my old 220 cords and getting a match that I was wiring when the power came back on, so I'll get er done another day. Oh, and the fricking new generator was leaking some oil so there is that job also...
2 days ago I told my bride I wanted to take a couple of the lower limbs off my back maple. Well, the storm took one of them down for me in the night, which is a plus! Another job for another day I guess. Picked up everyone's trash the 70 plus MPH wind gusts as well as repositioning the stuff that moved in my yard as well... Now it is 29 degrees and snowing and we are supposed to get about a foot here. So tomorrow I blow the snow so I can get out and get my taxes done.

Indeed, this weather is some bullshit. Yesterday at 5 I was sitting on my deck in a T-shirt with a cold drink in my hand and 4 lbs of chicken wings on the smoker. Today at 5 I was feeding the wood stove and happy to be high heat roasting some veggies in a 475* oven. I am done with this winter, but it isn’t done with me, apparently.
3 total this morning, no confirmations of any touchdowns or sightings. There is some reports of wind damage, next round is supposed to be around 5:00pm. The low tonight is 28 so the front is moving fast.
Where in the hell did that come from? 6 solid inches on our deck in Athens.

I just want to feel that first stingy all weekend sun with no wind where everyone in Ohio gets a tan line and the pale pale ghostly white people get fried. Until then I'll just keep putting my face next to the woodstove glass and blower pretend it's the sun with gently breeze. guess it could be worse like Michigan right now so I don't want to bitch to much.

I was shoveling the deck this morning and heard a bird gobble out back. I can't be 100% sure, but I think I could hear a little shiver in his gobble.
