Random weather thread

Took advantage of a power outage at work yesterday. Nearly 80 degrees and knocked out most of my pre-winter items. Remove the raft from the pond and store, detailed the quad, and got the yard/leaves done. Just waiting on some time to climb a tree.

Only bad thing about the weather yesterday was, every bug came back to life! I had bugs everywhere.

Whether there’s anything to the harsh winter prediction and Woolly caterpillar thing but in just the past week, I’ve encountered more of them around our house than all of the years put together the past 2-3 decades. No joke! All black, 1/2 and 1/2 or all brown. They are EVERYWHERE.

Just a few pics that took 45 seconds to find a few. Been leave blowing the bastards all over the place lately. Lol

We’ve been drier than a popcorn fart down here, been having some issues with wildfires. Kentucky and Virginia as well as southern WV been seeing them.
Rain finally moved in, first significant rain all fall. 1.5” so far and another inch expected.
Been cool and damp all day, and the fireplace has been on most of the day to take that chill off.

Yep. Had some fires in Knott Co Kentucky last week or the week before. My cousin's shared some pics and videos. Local FD working hard. Went right up the holler and just about got one of their barns.
