Reactions to Treated Lumber...Any Experiences

I bit the bullet yesterday. Against my better judgement I painted the treated lumber base on this stand. I used a bathroom/basement water base paint that is supposed to repel moisture. I figured if it keeps moisture out it should seal the treated lumber fairly well. I'll most likely never let a TOO member see the floor of this stand though. Mt SIL gave me this paint he had left over from painting cabinets in his bathroom. I'll just say it is a HOT Pink. Appropriate for a converted Porta-Pot deer stand, maybe, but I'm going to feel weird sitting in there. I won't be hunting until at least Wednesday so hopefully the paint smell will be long gone by then.

As long as it produces results it's all good Dick.... A little titty pink in the stand may bring you some good luck lol....

Problem with carpet is that the shooting window and all three porthole windows have no way to cover them. They are always open to wind, rain and snow. The shooting window faces to the west which lets all the elements in with our normal W/SW winds. The carpet would be constantly wet. If the paint doesn't work I'll try a rubber mat next.
