Reading is hard

I have realized how much time I sadly have lost to death scrolling my phone, so I have decided to try to reduce screentime on my phone and pick up a book instead. Currently reading The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fawk which I have had for years and never finished. I enjoy business/leadership readings such as this along with outdoor related books although I am awful at finishing a real book. (quite a few books on tape over the years due to constant work travel) I also really enjoy military/war/leadership books as well. All that said, anyone else been down this path and recommend any books or insight on reducing the death scroll?

That book thread is a good one, I listed a few hardcopies there. My audio ones are below, haven't bought anything new in a long while. Love me some disappointment panda and a bag of burritos 🤣

And couldn't capture in pic - Unbreakable: A Navy Seal's way of life.

Each day I exercise my mental, physical and spiritual muscles. Most often thru YT videos, just set phone down and pop in ear buds, subscriptions below. Whole lot of Jocko/Goggins/Marcus Taylor/ A. Kalts.

If you like that book, I have several similar recommendations in the book thread. Currently reading Steve Rinella's Scavenger's Guide to Haute Cuisine for the 3rd time. It's an exceptional book for the type of guy that likes to hang out in these parts.

Business book wise, if you really want to read something worthwhile, read The Goal: The Theory of Constraints by Eli Goldratt. I read it in my Operations Management class in college and it is the book I gift to any colleague in my network looking for a good read. It's written like a novel, but it's full of great lessons for removing bottlenecks and improving efficiencies. A must read IMO.

@Tysonhunter - If you, or anyone else, are in to business books and haven't read Stephen Covey's The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, you're missing perhaps the most important business book of all time. I have a mentor who managed 400 people on 3 continents when he was a partner at one of the world's largest tax and HR consulting firms. He told me this book was a mandatory read for his people and believes it's the most important book you can read if you want to be successful. I've read it twice. Still waiting to become successful 😂
