Lacking a propper flagpole at the new house I had to make due with some long posts which are too short to half staff. This particular flag has special meaning to me and only flies on memorial day.

My kids asked me why I wasn’t on a light pole. My answer was simple “because I made it home”. Lots of families didn’t have that.
