I found a rem model 710 thats chambered in 270 and has a synthetic stock on it and topped with a bushnell scop. The shop has it marked at $295, just wondering if this is a good deal since i dont know much about them. Thanks
That is a combo that Remington puts out. They generally go for about $300 new. So if it is new that is a decent price. If used I would look elsewhere or wheel and deal.
Look at the marlin XL7 it has a great trigger and bedded stock the 710 has neither. You can pick one up new for 300 bucks or less just about anywhere. I've shot a XL7 .25-06 and was getting around .75 moa at 100 yards. The 710 didnt sell real well and production stopped on that rifle around 2006 so I doubt its new. Remington replaced it with the 770 which was an even worse rifle.

Yeppers...The best rifle on the market for the price is the XL7 or XS7 from Marlin...The only difference being long or short action. I just ordered a XS7S in (stainless) .308 two days ago.

Nope. Just depends on my side work. Plus it was only $369. I will give her a spin for that price. I may go 6 months without a new one Or have three new ones a month
