I have seen this topic discussed on quite a few forums over the last few days and a I wanted to get the collective viewpoints on here on a few ideas.

Remington is not owned by any one person it is owned by a larger corporation (Cereberus Capital Management). This group owns the Freedom group which is a collection of firearms manufacturers such as Remington, Marlin, H&R, Bushmaster, DPMS, etc. If we are offended b/c of the choice of the larger owner (Cereberus) to not move out of NY and to take what appears to be political $ to stay in NY then are you also prepared to not buy any firearms manufactured by Freedom group or only Remington?

As one of the largest manufacturers in the world of firearms and ammunition, we have some of the most globally recognized brands including Remington®, Bushmaster® Firearms, DPMS/Panther Arms™, Marlin®, H&R®, The Parker Gun™, Mountain Khakis®, Advanced Armament Corp. ®, Dakota Arms®, Para™ USA and Barnes® Bullets

So where does the line fall?

Fugg'em all unless they take the contract then do something like move anyway, donate a large portion to the ILA, etc...

Remington has never been super civilian friendly. So this does not surprise me. Even before Cerberus, Remington had a civilian and LEO and Military Division. Remington LEO firearms are perfectly legal for civilians to own without modification are not available to civilians. Remington actuality has gotten better in that respect since Cerberus but their QC is lacking on the civilian firearms.
