You find them in the fall correct? Are these the same as "hickory jacks"?

Yea we find em in the fall mostly under black oak. I don't know what the scientific name is but they are called Hen of the woods..
There is a chicken of the woods that is orange in color that is sweeter tasting too

never heard em called hickory jacks
