Rotating Magazines

I agree old or new magazine
It all depends on the quality of the spring

A few years back I bought a Colt HBar AR 15
It came with 1 - 30 round mag and 2 - 10 round mag

Not sure who made the mags for Colt at that time
But the 30 round mag was and still is OK , but the 2 - 10 rnd mags were .....junk
Neither spring had enough push to hold ammo up for the bolt to strip off

I called Colt and they wouldn't stand behind the mags ( basicly told to go pound sand)
I replaced the springs and then the mags would work

So quality has a lot to do with how things work

We've got 4 mags ea. loaded for our AR-10 and AR-15. That's 200 rounds of high power how-do-you-do flying down range. We figure if we need more than that at any one time, we're screwed anyway. I also keep 6 mags for my 1911 loaded and my wife has her S&W M&P 9 locked and loaded at all times with two spare mags and then there's the shotguns. I think we have it pretty well covered. I'm a big believer in the if a magazine is empty it's a paperweight theory.
