Route 66

My wife is having a milestone birthday this year and for it we are traveling all of Route 66 this fall. We both love road trips and odd things and road side attractions, so this is a dream for us.

I tell you guys this to see if any of you have traveled the any or all of the mother road.

I did a little bit of this trip when I was in 6th or 7th grade I think. I was with my biological dad, he was an over the road trucker. We went out to Oxnard California. I think I saw the Cadillac ranch, not real sure. Dont remember it very well.

Saw a tiny bit between Vegas and the Grand Canyon. Just enough to know I'd like to see more. Enjoy your trip!

My neighbor has traveled the whole thing. Sounds like a cool adventure as he also loves that nostalgic route.

Be doing research, it is the most popular road in the world for sure. I am over whelmed by all the info, all the thing to see it is beyond amazing how many attractions, old restaurants, old motels, old gas stations, old buildings there are on Route 66

I have been from Needles California to Flagstaff Arizona. Very small piece of it. It was real cool seeing the nostalgic service stations and general stores.
