Rut ending pics

Do they just loose fat or are they depleted to a point of muscle loss?

He's looking better. Saw him up close in the blind last night.

He thanks you for the free meals I'm sure!

500 pounds a week of corn these deer are going through with an every other day flock of turkeys coming in as well... I still keep getting pics of a velvet buck on the other side of this farm I keep forgetting to save. Hopefully I'll have some tomorrow

Damn, that's alot of fuggin corn! About that velvet buck, there's been 2 killed around here recently that were in full velvet. They had a nut sac, just no nuts in it. I talked to the dad of one of the guys who killed one, he said the buck his son killed was always with the does, never separated from them.

The deer at my dads are eating a truckload of ear corn every two weeks.

No doubt a lot of corn but it's working to help hold them there. Hopefully keeps a few more alive for next year with the 2nd gun and muzzy coming.

HA!... I have a good friend who happens to be a farmer. I pay nothing...lol... Its all cracked corn. With corn being so dry this year when they ran it a lot of it cracked. I got a hole 300 bushel grain wagon full of it. Deer love it

I could tolerate that price! Good deal. I keep thinking I should buy some corn and fill up the feeder my wife bought me for Christmas a few years ago. Think I ran 2 bags thru it trying to get Garrett on a deer. It has sat in one of our buildings ever since. Glad to see he is doing a bit better.
