Has anyone shot one of these yet?

My brother, Dad and I have all drooled over them. They seem like a better option for a pocket carry gun than the Ruger's (after shooting one we all agreed that it was too small!) But .380, 6+1, laser sights, etc...seems like a great little gun.

My brother is picking one up tomorrow. He has a Walther PPK .380 but thinks it a little bigger than what he wants to carry [even though he wears a suit every day as he is a banker...this is long standing argument between the three of us as they got their concealed carries but don't carry because they want pocket pistols]. The good news is that I will get to shoot his and see if that's what I want to get. I have been dreaming of getting a pistol for a long time and will probably do so with my tax return. I will be sure to get some pocket pistol porn and write up a review after I shoot it!

I have never held a pistol that felt so good in my hand. My dad has an MP 9mm compact that is a whole lot of fun to shoot a good gun in itself...I see some solid Smith and Wesson fans in our future! We seems to be brand buyers, almost all of our long guns are Remingtons :)

I have shot one of each the revolver and semi and they were...ok. The triggers were not up to par compared to Ruger LCR (revolver) and Kahr (many tiny semis even in nine, P380 + PM9). Good triggers are not that important when it comes to a short range, defensive gun. My experiences were only two mags and two cylinders though.

Alot of it is preference. I would rather it have passive safeties rather than a small one that is hard to manipulate.

Have him give us a full review! I am curious about them.

Just texted him, I guess there was some confusion over whether or not the Den had them or if they are on sale or something?

The anticipation builds...

The Den just changed what was "for sale" yesterday. I need to get up there. They have Lake City .308 for $10 a box!

I have the Airweight revolver. I have seen them called the Bodyguard before too. Mine is a model 642. I carry it just about every day. If not, I am carrying my 9mm model 6906. The revolver has a long trigger pull and it is a stiff trigger. I don't care. I find it to be surprisingly accurate for a 38special with a 1 7/8" barrel. It is not for target practice anyway. I hope I never NEED to use it. With no safety and the fact it is simply a protection piece, I like the fact it has a long hard trigger pull. Nothing accidental about squeezing off a round when you are using it.

I love the Airweights. They are having GREAT sales on the 642 right now just as an FYI for anyone looking. I have a model 60 that rides with me on occasion.

Just saw that Ruger has a new compact 9mm coming out, slightly larger than the LCP. Another option in this category.

I have had this .380, a Beretta 84, since the mid 80s. it is a bit big, but it does have a 13 shot mag, never jams and is accurate.

If you guys ever get your .380 and want to come out to shoot, I have over 2000 rounds loaded up.

Love the Berettas! My 92FS has never had a hiccup (+/- 1500 rounds). I wish Beretta would use the same design on a smaller, single stack version.

They do/did. The .380 is the Mod 85, same gun, single stack mag, nice thinner grip and the 92 came in a single stack model, just don't remember what they called it.

I know they had a "compact" 92 but it was still fat...double stack. 9mm single stack is where it is at for me know.
