Real nice reminder! I haven't done a thing this year to check stands already in place like I had hoped to. Climbing sticks, hang-on's and ladder stands that have been in place for a couple years and this was the big year I had planned to start yanking them down, clean up, paint and replace straps and replace a couple stand's cables (with chain). Will definitely keep this in mind before I do anything with them.

I have to get quite a few more ratchet straps, then throw some new nuts, bolts, ropes, and all the small shit in a bucket and head out for the day to check, replace, and trim limbs

A little tip if you haven't thought of it already; you can make your own life lines for a fraction of the cost. All you need is the rope. I was able to make 2 that function the same as HSS's for half the cost of 1.
How about traveling to and from hunting locations? This guy stayed up all night fishing...
