I don't think he plans on shooting from the boat. It's more so he can get off the beaten path.

Midwest whitetail has a couple guys on the show that hunt public land in Iowa and they canoe down a creek to their stand, its the only way in.

That would be ideal. You would be silent and not leaving scent all over the place.
