Scent smokers who uses em who swears by em?

I'm glad you mentioned that. I haven't smoked since last year. I must have burnt the pipe out since I was getting a terrible taste. When I bought that truck in Dec, I didn't wanna ruin the new smell...lol I was just telling myself last evening I need a new pipe.

If'n you haven't smoked since the new truck, I sure wouldn't now.

Use it religiously. Hickory is the choice wood for me. I don't think I will ever hunt without again in my life. Unless of course I am waiting on a new one to be delivered because it got ran over by my vehicle. rotflmao

I am another extremely satisfied customer. Won't hunt without smoking up. SImilar methods used as the other guys. Don't forget your each layer as you dress, your cell phone, your belt, wallet, anything you might carry into the woods. I smoke inside my boots, smoke my socks, put my feet in the boots, smoke the outside of the boots. . . .I walk into the woods smelling like a campfire.

Hahaha man! That was a lot of responses during my trip to cinci/looking at the land I got permission to hunt over here.

Well it seems like it's unanimous to go with the purchase of a smoker. Is this where you guys got yours?

Also for the contraption. I was thinking a Rubbermaid container with a hole in the side and when the clothes are in to duct tape the lid shut. Now do you connect a hose from the scent smoker to the container to avoid catching your clothes on fire?

Yep. That's the place. Brock will get one out to you ASAP. He's a member here too if you have any questions.

I've never felt the need to tape the top of the rubbermaid closed. I just smoke them all individually as they go into the tote, grab the lid, billow some in there, and go for it.

That 4 inch flame loves fleece, I'll tell ya that!

Well I'm just thinking of taping it closed to help prevent my apartment from smelling like smoke if I smoke the night before. I'm sold on em for sure, gonna purchase one tonight. Hopefully I don't have any bloopers for you guys this fall haha

I have an old popup blind not suitable for field use anymore that I use to smoke my clothes in - then in to the plastic container for storage - then smoke the clothing/gear/myself again before entering the field.

If you like having deer walking within 3 ft of you on the ground and not flinching, this is the scent control process to use. (true story)

I got news for you dude, you are not using that smoker without making your apartment smell like smoke. Just ain't happening! My suggestion would be to get a good tote with as tight a sealing lid as you can find and hope for the best. I also smoke the inside of my truck and smoke up just before heading to the woods as well. You'll develop a system and it'll work great!

I use the adhesive backed weatherstripping around the top of a Rubbermaid tote that has the locking handles. Just run the weatherstrip around the top of the tote and when you lock the lid down it compresses the weatherstrip and makes a really good seal.
