Yep. Should have mentioned that is what I did on my Job Box. Definitely keeps the smoke in there! Always good to "cure" your tote a few times before you start storing stuff in there as well.

For you guys who are getting the flames shooting out the spouts.... How often/hard are you squeezing the bellows??? Haven't had an issue like that.... Yet....

My house doesn't get smoky during season. I smoke my clothes in my blind and then put them in the Coleman Space Saver bags. Then everything goes into the tote. Extra smoky when it comes out. That way the only real smoke I need before a hunt is my person, mostly my beard.

Last year was my first year smoking up. I had great success in not getting winded. Also, who doesn't like the smell of wood smoke anyway. I use my ground blind as some of the others do. I store my hunting clothes in rubber maid totes as well.
I've been using for going on 5 seasons now. What I tell people who question me is this: I'd rather hunt in a white T-shirt and bluejeans that are smoked up than I would camo clothes that weren't. I'm that confident of it.
On a side note: one of our seasonal facilities that I've been doing maintenance on has a set of 6 metal lockers like what we had in high school. I asked them about it and next week when I go over they told me to bring the pickup and they are mine. I think they"ll be kickass sitting in my garage with my different clothing setups hanging in there. Just a small smoking hole in the bottom should do the trick:smiley_coolpeace:

I have been trying to think of some negatives for the guy. Running it over, possibility of singing hair have been mentioned. Smelling like smoke from late September thru deer season is going to happen to an extent. The only other negative I can think of would be during the process of smoking everything up. This is especially true if you do it in a small confined area such as a pop up blind. Some people are more sensitive to the smoke. I am affected by it but it isn't something I can't tolerate. I do think you should know however, you can expect some coughing, sinuses act up, etc, if you smoke everything up in a confined area. Not trying to be negative but figured with all the positive hype I would play devil's advocate. Truthfully, the negatives are very limited and not too bad. Enjoy your new smoker!

I have been known to smoke up on the back porch before i leave as i'm getting dressed, put more chips in it and place it on a brick in the back of the jeep. I get more smoke and all my gear does too. Crack a window a little to let some of it vent out so you dont tear up and wreck. When i get where I'm going there is usually enough fuel left in it to smoke up a bit more before i walk in. Place the hot smoker back on the brick and go.
