I'm sure at least a few of you are running them.

I've decided to go with the Reolink system. I (currently) have 3 cameras set up. One in the main room where our dog hangs out so we can keep an eye on him during the day. There is another on my barn which picks up traffic as soon as it hits my driveway. Its not very noticeable during the day, I had to point it out to my wife, but at night it has 2 red lights that are noticeable. Then I have another at my front door. I just installed it so I dunno how easily it'll be seen.

The reolink software is easily navigated on my phone. I've had success setting up the detection alarms and fine tuning them for our location and the traffic on the state route yards from my front door.

I have also set up a reolink NVR (digital hard drive) to record the alerts. This was probably the most expensive part of the system. However, the other options were SD cards or uploading to the cloud.

The only challenging part was I'm running all wireless cameras but to connect them to the NVR I had to get an access point that could give me a wired (RJ45) connection so I am using a TP link access point in client mode. It worked well for setting up the cameras and also is currently working well for the NVR.

My eventual plan is to have cameras around my house and outbuildings and also set up to get traffic coming up my driveway. That way I can see what's happening or if my kids decide to make less than desirable decisions in their upcoming years I can be notified that there's something going on at 2am.
