Baby red fox in the back yard…..they raise a bunch every year.
A few years back I was turkey hunting back there and saw something move….i stared in that direction and a baby red fox peeked over a huge fallen oak tree. The den was at the root ball as there was a big hole in the ground and they just dug it deeper. Then a second, then a third peeked over. There were 5 total and they were popping their heads up and down looking at the fat, gray haired hen calling for a tom. They didn’t show much fear and I left the area because I didn’t want them to panic and run somewhere they could get hurt. Pretty cool to see the parents raise another batch every year.
