No idea what I did wrong there... anyway, it's a Robin-hood from 20 yds... yay, gotta fix an arrah.

It was an accident, really. I was focused on the other arrow. I was off about the same on each of the following 2 shots. Just so happened I was "off" exactly the same both shots. :) It happens, if you shoot a bunch. I've done it probably 6 or 8 times, and I've only done it on purpose once...and that was luck too. I think Milo may have been with us at a 3 d shoot years ago when our buddy Jim lost a 20dollar arrow. He felt safe considering it was 35 yds, but that was with a compound. I'm just glad to be shooting my trad bows well enough again to be concerned about nocks on occasion.

So an interesting day shooting today,i normally use a calf hair tab but ordered a new one and didnt specify calf hair or leather so got a leather one delivered.uploadfromtaptalk1442774424600.jpgMan what a difference,i could not hit squat with the leather one, maybe just needs broke in but it just didn't feel right, felt way to thick.uploadfromtaptalk1442774532157.jpgMy 20 yd shots went to crap.lol
Went back to the calf hair and right back in business.uploadfromtaptalk1442774598194.jpguploadfromtaptalk1442774611480.jpg
Not sure what it is but i think i will stick with the calf hair tab.
Any of you trad shooters have a preference over calf or leather if you shoot a tab?
I have another calf hair tab in my backpack for backup if i lose one but hell it's nice to know you can shoot with just fingers if you need to.

Brian, Ive always been able to shoot gloves or any kind of tab.... but it always takes a couple days to adapt to a new style. Im sure you get accustomed to the new one with some shooting.

Got out and shot out of treestand today and just shot at tennis balls and picked out leaves to shoot at.
Group at the tennis ball was 26 yds and the shot at the leaf to the right of my quiver was 30yds.
I really like shooting like this over target shooting anyday.
Guess i am as ready as i'm going to be since season is upon us.
