I'm not the least bit squeamish...talk and joke with nurses when they have to give me shots or draw blood...I like to watch...
Greatest thing ever was watching doc throw a couple of stitches in my hand once...no novacaine, just sew that shit up doc...cool:smiley_coolpeace:

My boss is a man's man, but even TALKING about blood/deer guts/butchering meat/shots and shit he gets the heebies... I just shake my head and laff...

But I don't like insects. ugh. and bird feet and beaks are repulsive. And you guys who think of reptiles as pets are off yer rockers

I can't really say I have anything that really gets at me.... Watching the amateur skateboard videos where they bounce their face off the concrete makes me grimace a little.. I have tons of pet peeves though. Like chicks with 70's bush.. Either go shave that thing or put your pants back on.. But that really doesn't make me queasy.. Just turned off.

Here is a good one for you.. When I joined the Army and got to reception at Ft Benning we all lined up along a wall in a hallway.. A guy walked down the line handing us a big syringe that was frosty... We were then told to take off our BDU tops and roll up both sleeves. NEXT was the call. When it was your turn you made a right turn through a door and stopped. Bam! You got a shot in both arms at the same time.. One step forward. Bam! a shot in both arms.. One step forward.. Bam! another in both arms.. One step forward. grab the bar and lower the right side of your pants.. BAM! right in the ass cheek... The last one was the shot you were given earlier to hold on to. The reason you we're given it was it was ice cold penicillin.. WHAM. right in the ass cheek... 7 shots in less than a minute... Behind the people standing on both sides was a big blue foam pad like they have in gymnastics places... If someone started to pass out they just grabbed them and made sure they hit the pad.. NEXT... And when the dude woke up he got to start where he left off....... In my first year in the army I had gotten 23 shots...

Anyway.. That still cold penicillin shot made everyone walk gimp for three days.. They didn't us to hold it in our hand to warm it.. just "hold this"... Imagine 80 people limping around.. I couldn't even walk up stairs... So. A new bus load of recruits show up.. They asked us why we we're all limping.. We would just look at them and say.. "Nut shot" Nut shot? WTF is that..... Well you gotta get this shot right in the ball.. But you get to pick which one" PICK?? yeah.. Left or right..... Holy fuck we had fun teasing them about that.. One dude flipped out and ran... Literally said fuck this and hauled ass. Didn;t even wait for dark, just made a run for it right then and there. lmao Wasn't you was it epe?

First time I have gotten one. I have asthma, so when I get a cough, it Kills me.. Figured it would be worth a shot.

I avoided the flu shot for years, eventhough I worked in a hospital. Finally, started getting it about 4-5 years ago and have never had the flu since. Wish I would have started sooner. I'd rather be using my PTO days for fun stuff rather than being at home with the flu. Even if it only saves 1 day of vacation, that's one more day for hunitng!

Working at a hospital I can see where you would get the flu without the shot... I haven't gotten a flu shot in 6 years and haven't gotten the flu either... Although two years ago I did get whooping cough... Now that is a booster EVERYONE should get... I don't give a fugg what your doctor says about how its largely been eradicated . BS. Get one. The CDC reports whooping cough is on the rise.. I had a doctor flat out refuse to diagnose me with it even after displaying every symptom and even having a textbook episode right infront of him.. With doctors misdiagnosing or in my case refusing to diagnose a CDC reportable disease. The numbers are far worse than on paper. The CDC even knows this and says so right in their report about whooping cough..

Trust me guys.. You don't want it.. It was 4 months of episodes 3-4 times a day at its peak that are like getting the wind knocked out of you and can't breathe. I'm talking hands and knees gasping for air and not getting any.. Then puking from the violent abdominal contractions trying to suck air through a closed larynx. Some people even crack ribs trying so hard to gasp for breath. I believe it..

Needles don't bother me, like Joe and J said join the military you will get used to needles real quick, I gotta agree with Jesse though, after blowing out the left knee twice and having three knee surgeries watching someone getting knees or ankles fugged up sorta gets to me, cause I know what they are gettin ready to go through!
