Thanks brother! I've been...um...social distancing in the woods, on the water and on the golf course. Once this is all over I still have a few folk I'm gunna social distance from! I say that I used to be a people person, but people ruined it! I now understand my father in law (he'd be 106 this year if still around) stating as far as he was concerned if a man don't hunt or fish he ain't worth much!

Our governor here in Pa had me out of business for most of last year, but that's ok as we never lived beyond our means and frankly it gave me a taste of future retirement, which isn't as good as venison backstrap or fried perch, but it will do me just fine one day.

How are things down your way? And where did Giles get to?

Oh I have been away too long! There are so many beautiful pictures and stories and it takes a while to catch up. Thanks for sharing guys and gals!

I'm still here! Great to see you are still kicking and that dock didn't get you. Lol

How's the walleye fishing up your way been? I almost made it back there to ice fish but the whole lake blew up and I don't like trolling on ice all that much.
Fishing has been slow for the most part down this way. Catching has been good but the perch were a bit short, could barely count 5 stripe on them. I like about 7 stripes myself.
As far as the world fuss, I haven't even had a cold since 19... I guess when you mix elderberries with everclear and take a medicinal shot most days it's good for what ails you! Course I take a hand full of pills from GNC to avoid a handful of pills from CVS too. The eldertincture I take at night and it doubles as a mouyhwash/gargle then I swallow and sleep like a baby.

View attachment 97960I picked up my mount this past Monday. Hung him next to my European. While I was driving a nail for the new mount my European fell... it wouldn't be a huge deal except where these are at is directly above my basement stairs. So after a 15 ft fall and s now messed up nose the European is back on the wall.
The pieces can be easily glued back if you still have them.

New editions to the homestead. Haven’t found a place for them yet.

I haven't fished much the last few years. Maybe this year I will get back into it.

I sold my 18' Lund Tyee to the neighbor across the street. Single dad with joint custody of 2 boys. He flies life star helicopter here. In his down time he takes the boys hunting and fishing or to their sports practices and games. I wasn't using it enough and all he had were kayaks which aren't good for lake Erie. So I gave him a sweet deal on the complete package. They must have gone out a hundred time last year so that makes me smile!

I replaced the Lund with a 16' Grumman center console, which fits my needs better but ain't quite the same boat... It's easier for me to take out solo though and I am getting too long in the teeth to bounce around Erie on rough days. I like to go out early or late in the day and be back safe at the launch to watch the show as the knucklheads launch and retrieve... There isn't a better show then a guy with enough credit to acquire a monster boat and haul it with his sports car or mini van while doing thousands of dollars of damage trying to be the man at the launch!

I think I posted a way I saw to display sheds using a tomato cage a while back? I had just thrown it together, but this morning one of my daughters took some time and made it look pretty cool. Also not sure I’ve ever shared pics of my walls, so included them too. Even the ones demoted to the storage room due to lack of space!!!

I meant to comment on your post the other day, however I failed to do so and apparently got side tracked and forgot.

Anyways, just wanted to let you know that you most definitely harvested many outstanding bucks. What a beautiful display of your Whitetail Deer hunting accomplishments! Very, very nice and I am impressed, including that fact that you had most all mounted! Usually don't see that many outstanding bucks confined to one singular place. You definitely have your own Deer Expo goin on there I'd say.

Congrats on all your deer hunting accomplishments!
