2, one from public on a wma that I’ve hunted over 30 years and never killed a decent rack buck even w a gun. The other was his first decent rack w a gun on my property. Others are Missouri, Illinois and Arkansas.
This is one heck of a fireplace mantel.
Added Dads replica buck and the seating.

Just reviewed this thread and seen I never posted any pics... I have a couple on the wall and I'll post some when I get my 2024 Illinois buck back from taxidermist...

Wife made a comment about my euro mount looking too plain.
Saw a euro mount on another site and really liked the look.

Pretty sure it is poplar. It came off a stump along our driveway. Peeled it off and laid it flat on top of the stump for a couple weeks. Bark side down. It allowed it to somewhat flatten out.What kinda bark is that J? Nice backdrop
