Never made a spud gun. We did however make works bombs and PVC shoulder mount tube launchers for bottle rockets lol.

Might have to look into making one now .

I had one a long time ago....let me see where it's at. If I remember right it the barrel was a piece of 2"or 3" pvc pipe and I used a bic stick lighter for the ignitor. It seems like hairspray was a good propellant, but I think wd 40 worked well also.

I had one in college. A friend of mine made it for me. We used to shoot that thing at the dorms on campus at Akron. We'd be on our apartment porch just launching taters across campus. Fun as hell!

I had a spud mortar in highschool. It was pretty fun.

Not sure how u guys made them fire but I used to spray hairspray into the butt end then hit the gas grill ignitor. BOOM! Frigging classic. At night you could see the flame shoot out the end.
