Ruger American 22" barrel and Vortex Diamondback 4-12x40. Everything I point it at, dies. 450 Bushmaster.
My reloads of 250 gr. Hornady FTX JHP, at 2550 fps will produce a 5 shot 1 hole group at 100 yards. I've never owned a large bore rifle that has produced this good of accuracy.

Ruger Gunsite Scout 450Bush scored on a nice doe yesterday at 509pm. 50 ish yard shot and she dropped like a sack of rocks.

Holey eye relief Batman! What's going on there? Did you put a pistol scope on that thing? Reminds me of a Mauser mounted scope.

The scout rifle is designed to use a long eye relief scope mounted on the forward rail. Nothing really funny or strange about it. Thats the whole point of a scout rifle.

Makes sense. Just not something you see much of today. How is the FOV when using it?

I used a scout scope on a Mosin-Nagant 7.62x54R and the FOV wasn't much. That's typical of scout scopes, but they give you the magnification to shoot distance targets better than with iron sights.
