Shrooms

Asparagus is a perennial, once established, it will keep coming up for 50 years. The point is simple when you do find morels, look around and see what else is happening in the woods and fields, like apple trees blooming.

anti I understood. Just pulling your chain. My dad would have had several plates of mushrooms by now. He was a snake hunter from way back.

I have a friend that grows asparagus sells it wholesale. Man it's tasty when cut and ate the same day.

May apples were poking up today 4/15. ramps beginning. No shrooms but picked up a chewed up shed from two years ago in a small bedding area. Then spotted an extremely small 3 point shed and a 4" long spike at the very same time in short green grass about 10 feet apart.

A buddy found some around town yesterday and my nephew picked about 20 out in the county. A blacks.

I'm convinced nothing cool grows on our farm. And sheds are hauled off by squirrels. We have a ton of old stumps on our place and I checked a good 2-3 dozen today with no luck.
